Introduction

Hi,

My name is Linda Faulk and I am a math teacher at Colton High School. I have taken a number of courses that run the range of formats. Having had several types of delivery in courses, my preference really depends on the type of content, or my expectations for the course. I am a good self-learner so even when the class is face-to-face, I can seek out additional resources to learn. I do enjoy other people and how they add to my own understanding.

I am fairly comfortable with computers and different types of technologies. I have used podcasts, I have my own website, I have used blogs in classes before for my own learning, but have not used blogs to teach my students. I have used videos in the classroom, but have not created my own. I am looking to explore how to use a greater variety of technologies in order to teach mathematics for struggling students, whether this is the form of instruction or homework help, remediation or other form of support.

I am looking forward to adding to my knowlege this quarter with this class.
